During my performances audiences see me doing lots of different things with Guitar and Mandolin. The players in the audience are naturally curious and would like to ask me questions about any number of things, from "what kind of tuning was that?" to "what was that thing with the blue light that you were using to play your guitar?" My workshop is designed to share some of the techniques I use with the intention of helping beginner and intermediate players expand their thinking, and to get them interested in new ideas. I focus on alternate tunings, capos, and assorted other guitar oriented concepts, tips, and tricks. I also play Mandolin and Octave Mandolin, so I spend a bit of time talking about them and their similarities and differences with Guitar. Depending on time spent on each topic and the length of the interactive Q&A, my workshop usually runs about 4 hours, give or take. I prefer to keep class sizes small - between 10 to 15 people - due to the interactive nature of the sessions. If necessary I can do two workshops in a day, time permitting.
